Jade is one of the most frequently misrepresented stones in jewelry — many similar-looking crystals are marketed and sold as jade when they are not. At Hushwink, we source exclusively from a small number of trusted suppliers with long-standing reputations for authenticity, and we back that up with our own testing process: each stone is tested with a Presidium gem tester, examined under UV light to confirm the jade is undyed and untreated, and visually evaluated before it ever becomes a piece of jewelry. We use the name "jade" only when the stone is confirmed jadeite or nephrite — never as a blanket term for visually similar stones, which are frequently mislabeled as jade in the marketplace.
